I’ve used them a few times. Because I have an actual store in my town, I can walk in with a full color design and walk back out with a shirt in about 20 minutes. As stated earlier, their quality is average, but for my purposes they’ve always satisfied my needs. I am a designer/reseller of cafepress items. I have found the quality to be average or better, but the “wholesale” price is the same as everyone else’s retail (or even higher). Lowering their wholesale prices would definitely increase my sales! Another side note, they need to start printing perfect bound books in letter sized. They currently only have ring bound books in letter size. I have done really well on Zazzle. I have made almost 2000 sales. I haven’t made a single sale on Cafepress. The interface is confusing, and I don’t get a lot of traffic either. It’s easier to create products on Zazzle for personalization. Most people on Zazzle are looking for personalized. From many videos I have watched about it, here are my top three. Keep in mind that there might be other POD stores out there that I am not aware of, that also might print very good quality. Furthermore the difference in quality between the top printing stores is quite small as well. #pieterhb
It is incredible at printing t shirts. i use it for nearly all of my shirts and would give it 6/5 stars anyday of the week!!! CafePress has decent, but not amazing quality. I’d say they are better at marketing and retail selling than as a custom t-shirt printing shop. As the founder of Printfection.com, I’m biased, but can prove why. We don’t help you sell your shirts in a massive marketplace. CafePress is great at that! But since you have your own podcast, you’re not looking to sell your designs in a retail marketplace to random people – you probably want to buy them for yourself and maybe sell them in a store attached to your podcast website. So really, the benefits of CafePress are not worth the mediocre printing quality. Since you just need the highest quality printing and a storefront for your podcast we’d be a great choice.
