Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is finally here. Actor Lupita Nyong’o geared up for the film’s release on November 11 by showing her fans her character’s look up close and personal on Instagram. In the clip, the actor entered her trailer in a robe and then exited in a green and blue armored bodysuit, appearing all-powerful and radiant. We can’t wait to see the ensemble on screen, too. Dua Lipa showed off a fantastic–and very saucy–outfit this week, too. While on tour in Melbourne, Australia, the singer took a moment to pose in a floral print lace-up top that criss-crossed from neck to navel, which she wore with a pair of matching curve-skimming pants. We’re sure there are more looks coming from Ms. Lipa from the land down under.

And while she isn’t on tour, Ariana Grande flexed her fashion chops this week. She wore a pale blue bodysuit with cut-outs and an itty-bitty Courrèges vinyl mini skirt for a retro touch. Of course, she had her hair in her signature high ponytail poking out from a black hat. Finally, Kristen McMenamy wore a bold choker and only a bold choker. The supermodel’s necklace was bedazzled with “The Vampires Wife”. For a cheeky styling moment, she tucked her hair under the choker to let it cover her–bare!—chest. Talk about a great fashion moment. Before she had released her debut single, Bloody Civilian discovered she would soundtrack the Marvel blockbuster of the year. Real name Emoseh Khamofu (“bloody civilian” is the callous term members of the Nigerian army use for the public), the Abuja-born 25-year-old was signed by Def Jam CEO Tunji Balogun—who was responsible for signing Tems, SZA, and Kendrick Lamar—and is managed by Seni “Chubbz” Saraki, co-founder of NATIVE, who were supervising the music for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. They created a camp, inviting different artists to contribute their ideas. First, she created a beat, and they gave her a theme to explore. “When I think of ‘hustle and grind,’ I think of waking up… I believe the first 30 minutes of your day dictate the rest of the day,” she tells Vogue over Zoom. “I wanted to write a song that describes how, when I wake up, I fight with getting up from bed, but then find the strength to go about the day.” When she found out composer Ludwig Göransson had selected her song “Wake Up” featuring Rema, it was “so surreal… the whole process was [already] life-changing… so when I found out I’d be on it, I was really, really excited,” she laughs. “I was one of those people who showed up in traditional African regalia for the first film.”

Playing matchmaker in the crowd was Stephen Kolb, who could be seen connecting the dots among buyers, Vogue editors, and designers in hopes of fostering the next chapter in the storied list of the names that have emerged from the fund within the last decade, including Thom Browne, Telfar, Proenza Schouler, Aurora James, and Joseph Altuzarra. “I woke up the next morning and felt super proud,” Kolb mused to Vogue about Monday night’s awards. “I know what we did to get the industry to be thinking differently, and it was obvious on Monday night that we’ve started to accomplish that.” With the Q4 retail sprint and Q1 planning meetings looming for many in the coming weeks, it would soon be back to reality for everyone, but in the meantime, a glass or two of bubbly and a few miniature hamburgers were just what the doctor ordered. “Monday, I felt like a princess, today I’m a designer; the glass slipper fell off,” joked Jacques Agbobly. “I’m incredibly grateful to be here, and to have this celebration to round off the past six months of incredible opportunity and mentorship and support from people that just want to see you do great things.”
